u8 to u10 matchplay (grade 6)
These events are designed to give players of all levels a go at competing. ‘Matchplay’ events are organised to give players a chance to play players of a similar ability and are matched up on ability / age. For red players will get around 4 to 5 matches orange and green 3 to 4 matches. Matches count towards your LTA YOUTH REWARDS
LTA youth matchplay 11-18yrs (grade 6)
Players get around 3 matches in which they count towards their ITF World Tennis Number. Matches are set up so they play someone of a similiar ability
Prestbury Junior CLub Championships 2024 (grade 6)

Junior u11-to u18 Club Championships 2024. Finals will be held on 6th July from 12pm. Preliminary rounds will be played in players own time with a deadline for each round. Categories include singles, doubles and mixed doubles .

FAQ
Who Can enter a competition ?
Anyone – check with your coach is it is the right level though for you
What is competition grading ?
Grade 7 – Beginner / social club players
Grade 6 – Social players / club team players (counts towards World Tennis Number (WTN)- Powered by ITF)
Grade 5 – social players and club team players (counts towards rankings points and WTN)
Grade 4 – advanced club players (ranking points and WTN)
Grade 3 to 1 – regional to international level
Do I need to know how to score ?
For a team challenge usually NO as they will often have umpires and show you how to score (grade 7)
For matchplay (grade and above)yes you will need to know how to score but you can ask the umpire for a recap on every point and check you are on the correct side.
How do I enter ?
First you need to sign up to the LTA British Tennis Website to create an account for free (www.lta.org.uk) . Then go the tournament search page www.lta.org.uk/competitions.
What is LTA Youth rewards ?
A great scheme for under 10’s . If play so many matches you get rewards like a t-shirt after you have played 20 matches etc . LTA YOUTH REWARDS
